*its an 808 state of mind*

so after my trip to Florida, I had Monday & Tuesday off and returned to work on Wednesday. A few friends planned a trip to Hawaii for a wedding and they were making it sound sooo tempting. You can NEVER go wrong with Hawaii...seriously! LAST MINUTE...i decided Thursday, got my tix, packed my bags, went to work on Friday and asked my boss if I can leave early to catch a flight. I told him I was going to be off Monday (maybe Tuesday) but I was determined to be back Monday so I can still get Memorial Day weekend off. ANYWAYS, I hopped on the plane and made sure the crew picked my up.

this was the first thing i did when I got back to the vacation home in Hau'ula

I had the BEST time in Hawaii..it was fun, refreshing, relaxing, hilarious, crazy, etc! We did soooo much in 2 days than I've ever done any other time there. We were da "KEEP IT MOVIN" crew cause we were just EVERYWHERE gettin things done! And we ate, ate, ate...omg!  Ted's Bakery, Sunset Beach, Waimea, Temple Beach, Hukilau, TVA, weddings, Town, Hotel Ilikai, The Shack, Ala Moana, Screamer, Pali Lookout, Papa Ole's, Rainbow, Giovanni's Shrimp Truck, PCC, Swap Meet, Haleiwa, Lucy's house in 50 First Dates, Crouching Tiger, Kakela, Pounders... yes, all in 2 frickin days! 5 Hr Energy was my BFF cause I was surviving off of 5 hrs dat whole weekend.

Going back home was HELL... ended up flying to LAX and purchasing a full fare to SFO... but it was well worth it!

Missin my KEEP IT MOVIN crew:: TJ, JLo, Make, Krystle, Fred, Seaz, Lupita, Ti, Jan, Edwin & Finau:)

STAND- BY BOREDOM at its WORSE!!! hahahaha TJ, JLo & Me PLANKING

i had one downfall of my trip and that is when I recd a text message hrs after my flight landing that my great aunt passed away. Grandma Felofiaki Unga Tuivailala. She was my grandpa's ONLY sister! I was very saddened when I heard the news and being so far from my family was hard:( Then hearing that my grandpa in Vava'u took it hard as well and got sick out there. RIP Grandma Fiaki and get better Gpa Lihati xoxo

PS. *Feels like I was born 2 love you* Katchafire

FLO-RIDAAAAHHHH

So I had a choice to go Florida one weekend or Hawaii the weekend after. Considering I havent been to the Sunshine State since '07 and I've at least been to da 808 in '08, i felt it was FLORIDA's turn. Last I went, I stayed in Miami. This time, I would be in Orlando for the NETANE Family Reunion. Its a few hours apart and I've always wanted to go.

I had such a wonderful time! NETANE and UNGA are brothers so it was nice to meet and understand the family even more. The Orlando crew hooked it up this weekend. They went beyond expected measures. They provided vacation homes for all the out of towners (and these houses were NICE!!!), Food and Food and more Food, Sea World, Disney World, City Walk, Bob Marley Club, Holiday Inn, Busche Gardens, etc It was a WONDERFUL weekend. The weather was typical Florida. Like there's a heater over your head! lol But the last couple days, it did cool down. It ended up being a typical sunny day in da Bay. We would hang out all night talking, playing game when they boys would be mixing in da back, swimming for days, etc I LOVE IT

P.S. I'm drinking RUM.... and REDDBULLLLLLLLLLL!

i know a name...a glorious name!

My mom is such a label wh*re! LOL! She has better more expensive clothes, jewelery, shoes than I do. I'm more humble like my daddy (or so i think so) So I knew whatever I get her for Momma's day had to be dazzled out in diamonds, gold or be from a known designer. She was all in a bad mood when we got back from church, partially because the house wasnt as spick & span as she hoped but I think it's because she still hasnt recd gifts yet. LOL! So I walked in with a Nordy's bag and her eyes lit up. She opened the box and it was sunglasses. She saw the AX and said.. oh, it's Anne Klein! (hahaha she's such a fob!) But then realized AX is for ARMANI EXCHANGE and then got super happy and excited! What a name can do! If she was wearing a mood ring, you'd see the color change rapidly on that mugg. hahaha But I am truly grateful for everything that she does for my siblings and I. I still get treated like a big fat baby! haha Love my momma

This has got to be one of my favorite music videos ever. From the first time I saw this video, i thought it was the sweetest thing! An Italian romance, a stroll down memory lane and reuniting with an Ex... everything is COOL!!

BTW:: I love Gwen as a brunette!

Blessings of 10%

So I am not Saint nor do I claim to be. I try to go to church regularly but I still have many many flaws. Last weekend we had a Regional YSA conference (i guess you would call it that) After a day of workshops (which i missed all but one) there was a lil devotional/fireside presided by the apostle Russell M. Nelson. He spoke on many things... but then outta nowhere, slaps us with TITHING!! uugghhh one of many things i've struggled with. Even on the way home, I had a discussion on big sas Sinnamon and she basically ensured me that its crazy but eveything ends up working out!

So the next day at church, I went towards the Bishop's office to grab my tithing slip. It was the first time I ever paid a FULL tithing, plus Fast Offering (since it was first sunday). I damn nearly held on to the envelope till the end of church just in case I changed my mind! LOL! After I sealed the envelope, I made a funny remark to the girls and said... "there goes my lunch money!" haha But the funny thing is.... it worked out!

Sunday: Paid Tithing
Monday: Boss treated me to lunch
Tuesday: Sister treated to lunch
Wednesday: Work gave me an anniversary envelope with $$$ inside &
It was my dinner night for my house and my sister paid for the grocery shopping
Thursday (today): lunch was catered for Cinco de Mayo!

I joke about lunch money... but then my lunch basically got served to me for free without asking/hesitation! These were all small gestures but I'm convinced even more that the Lord sure does work in mysterious ways and has certainly blessed me this week. Now I'm a believer:)

TANYA STEPHENS is da SHIT!! Like seriously! She be spittin some real shit son! lol Her lyrics are off da hook. I remember the first time I heard her song "Little White Lie". A bunch of us girls were kickin it and when the song came on, the convos slowly came to a stop while we all listened to da lyrics. By the end of da song, I was like, "DAMN, Das some shit! Run dat shit back!" and we listened to it all night long. Then I realized all her songs had crazy lyrics and began to love her even more. And she sounds just as good in person as she does on her record!

Day 12- a picture of something I LOVE

OMG, what dont i LOVE! (besides the previous blog) My whole Bebo intro was all about things I loved! So there might be a few lol

SANTA CRUZ BEACH BOARDWALK
I love this place. Its about an hour drive south from where I live and along the coast. I dont go as often as I'd like but I totally love it here. It has rides, restaurants, movie theatre, bars, lazer tag and the BEACH! Funny story my parents told me is that one time when my dad was Bishop for Foster City 2nd ward when I was younger, we came here for a ward activity. Anyways, I got lost and my mom freaked out looking for me. I had to be about 4 yrs old or so and a number of them were scrounging around looking and looking. Finally they found me on a bench eating an ice cream cone! I guess it was funnier to them considering I was such a chubby girl! lol Apparently a lady found me crying and bought me an ice cream to keep me calm (it worked) and then sat with me on the bench until I was claimed! LOL!

I LOVE MY HOMETOWN! I love San Mateo, I love The Bay! I love SF! There's just beauty all around...(when there's love at home! lol) Seriously, theres days where we would just drive around and soak in the beauty that this place has to offer! There is no place like this!

It has been a childhood favorite of mine since FOREVER!!!! Luckily, the factory is in the next city over (Burlingame, CA)

I'm so mad cause this pix does not do this place justice!!! But it will do for now. I <3 VAVA'U!!!! Both my grandparents are from there so I have deep roots on that island. I love it here! I like to say Kauai to Oahu is Vava'u to Tongatapu. It is still very remote, poor and slooow, but i love the experience! I've took a boat around the outter islands and drove around the main island and the views are AMAZING!!! Some of the most breathtaking sites ever!

And NO...i'm not RACIST ((STAR)) It was an observation that never failed me! And if I am... everyone else is too! lol

For The Love of Money

I'M A VICTIM OF FRAUD!! AAHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Working at a financial institution, the number of frauds doubled and trippled. Never thought it would happen to me. Well, it is my own fault though but just when you think doing good deeds will come back to you, sometimes it wont:(

I was across the Bay with some friends and asked to stop by any ATM machine to pull out cash. We stopped at California Bank & Trust in Hayward by Southland Mall. At my bank, I just swipe my card at the machine. This one in particular takes your card and returns it at the end of your transaction. I did my business and WALKED AWAY WITHOUT THE MACHINE RETURNING MY CARD!! uggghhhhh so stupid! Well that was around 6pm last night and I didnt notice till this afternoon. I know some bank ATM machines will keep the card if no activity happens in a period of minutes or so. So I called the bank and they said they saw no card in the machine when they opened up in the morning. Luckily I work at my bank so I called Cust. Serv. and asked for a new card. I didnt sweat fraud cause my card was just an ATM card and not a debit check card so you need the pin to purchase anything. WELL, the customer's service rep asked me what was the last transaction I did and i told her. She then tells me that someone came up after me and since the machine still had my card in it, my transaction was never processed and they were still able to pull an additioal $100! (*&?;#$#@&!?[\*) uugghhhhhh, then she tells me that they completed that transaction and tried to take out more but the pin number was wrong!

So tomorrow, I have to go fill out a fraud report at the bank. I am bummed not because of the money but because of how I should've been paying more attention. And I'm just grateful because it really couldve been waaaaaay worse!!! So $100 is a lot of money to me but it's also a slap on the wrist compared to other things. Luckily, it will be covered but this is def a lesson learned!!! DONT LEAVE THE ATM MACHINE WITHOUT YOUR DAMN CARD!!!!!!

P.S. *Mo Money, Mo Problems*

Day 9- a pix of someone that has gotten you through the most

These 2 are my fun, crazy, spunky ride-or-die chicks. Siunipa Jacqueline Teaupa-Aho (STAR) and Tricia Naomi Unga-Kaho YES, they are my first cousins, but we're also BESTIES!! We do go thru our ups & downs but I can always count on them to be there for me no matter what. It is these 2 who I run to when I need to get something off my shoulders, or for advice.

We've seen each other through it all! Happy Moments & sad, relationships, weddings, babies, fights, tears, etc. One thing we do a lot of the time and love it is when we have our deep, real talks! That is one thing I love to take out of our friendship. We can talk about anything under the sun and it's always interesting! Even when we were younger, we used to drink & get tipsy and still manage to have a DEEP convo! Hittin potes at Shoreview Park ends up being a 2 hr walk. Over coffee, over wine, over folding laundry, i love every minute spent with these 2!

**Note we're barefoot in this picture! lol This was takin at my lil cousin Luisa's bday and she had a photographer there. We've been running around all day so we finally had a chance to stop & take a pix not knowing it was going to be full body!**

PS.. Oooooh Yesterday! All my troubles seems so far away.... <-EnVogue version! Das our song!! LoL!

Day 8- a picture that makes you laugh

This picture not only makes me laugh but it makes me smile. This just shouts FUN! We went to a friends house (Duane) and he had a pool in his backyard so we went for a dip and ended up being a pool side photo shoot! LOL!

BTW: I looooove these ladies! Juniper Teaupa Aho, Moana Sekona & Kasandra Vaenuku. And I look like a fat Super Mario bro! LOL!

P.S. **Where Do We Go From Here** Razah

DAY 7- a picture of your most treasured item(s)

My most TREASURED items are my baby girls!! The ones who I tell everything to. The ones who know my secrets, my pain, who I share my memories with, who makes me LAUGH every time Im with it, yet makes me wanna crawl under a rock at the same time. Gets me sooo mad I want to destroy it, yet will never have the heart to! Introducing my daughters!

*REYANNE* (Red)
*PRINCESS* (blue)
*DREAM* (black)
*EMOTION* (white)
*PASSION* (green)

I remember always looking at my older sisters & cousins writing in their journal and I was alway envious of it. I wanted to write daily. I wanted to fill out my genealogy in the beginning. FINALLY my father got me my first journal after a trip to SLC. I was soooo super excited. My first entry was Oct 4, 1993. I was currently attending Parkside Elementary.

I was VERY serious about my writing. I went into DETAIL with everything. WHO was there, WHAT song was playing, my FEELINGS, everything. I wanted to feel like I was right there when I go back to read it.

In High School, I was a WWF FANATIC!!!! While girls had posters of Backstreet Boys or N'Sync, I had posters of wrestlers. I was in <3 with The Rock. I was in love with him before he was "The Rock" but when he was simply "Rocky Maivia"

My sister Katalina was working at American Airlines around '98ish and she called asking who DUANE JOHNSON was...i FREAKED out! She got me the bestest gift ever! She chased down The Rock and Stone Cold and got their autographs for me. I felt like the luckiest girl in the world!!

YES, I was meant for the spotlight!! hahahaha yeah rite! I was on the front cover of the newspaper the day after I graduated high school. Not like it was SF Chronicle or something. It was just the San Mateo Times. But still, i was excited! LOL! I remember sleeping over at my grandpa's house and my Uncle Fekita runs in with a gazillion newspapers to show me! lol

I've always been a GIANTS fan. Dont know why. Its funny how in 2000, I was excited about SF Giants winning National West and then 10 yrs later, they won the World Series!!

I Loved my Youth Days! Had the YW leaders and the best chicks to be with PEN 2! haha

I always tried to add music to my entries. A memory song... or the popular songs at the time so I dont forget the music of that time.

Before I met Kalo, I used to see her around my gpa's house picking up Leon. She always parked down the street and never came in. I used to think she mean mugged and was rude cause she never said hi. Little did I know, she was just super shy! Now, i dont know what we'd do without her. She's the sweetest sister in law ever and I'm grateful my bro has such a beautiful wife.

I dont know why but we had this thing about collecting labels and bottles and documenting where we drank this, who we were with, etc. Till the collection got out of hand and then that trend went away.

MY FIRST SF GIANTS BASEBALL GAME!!

I still cant believe I have 18 yrs of my life in these books. I wish I kept up with this. I blame it on the internet and social networks. The last entry I have in dated in 2009. I'm so grateful I can go back and read about mi vida loca! haha

As I'm writing this blog entry, my 4 nieces Skye, Isabel, Kalo & Leva are all sitting here going through my journal is amazement. I made sure to tell them NOT to read ANYTING cause they be kafi! lol But I love how they're asking me questions about certain things i have. Postcards, pictures, flyers, etc. I hope one day they will have the same experience!

(i always left a song at the end of a journal entry)

P.S. GIRLz JUST WANNA HAVE FUN;)

Day 06 - A picture of a person you'd love to trade places with for a day

I thought LONG and HARD for this one. Tough question! Different people came in my mind like Oprah, the first lady Michelle Obama. Even Angelina Jolie. But then I really thought about it decided NAAAHHHH! And then a light bulb went on. I had a "ah ha" moment. Call me fat, call me a heffa, I DONT CARE!!! I'm addicted to this guy's show.

GUY FIERI

Yeah you may have thought I would've picked a female but this guy has got the coolest job ever! haha You may know him as the host of "Diners, Drive-In & Dives" but also "Guy's Big Bite" along with some others on The Food Network. I love All-American diners, hole in the wall spots and this show brings out any and every place known to man. I be gettin hella ua'kai off watcing this show. I love to see people's different recipes and the way they do certain things. And this lucky bastard gets to taste them all!!!

I have my cousins in here, my BFFs, da homies, and I still talk/keep in touch with every1 in here (minus da palangi on da side, and the uli uli school counsilor who jumped in da back and put his hand on my cousin's shoulder! LOL! Love it Love it Love it! I remember I wore a white dress that I found at Macy's and I absolutely loved it. Especially cause it was on SALE!! Well, it was on sale for $80 so that means it was waaaay much more and $80 was a whole lotta for me in high school but I was so in love with my dress that I had to get it. And this dress is still hanging in the back of my closet. My house was always the meet up spot for every dance in HS so right after we departed my house, first stop was Shoreview Liqs! LOL! Day 04 - A picture of a night you'll never forget.

♫ Oh What a Night! Late November back in 2004♫  This was taken as we were departing the hotel in Vegas and I believe it was all of our first times there! The ladies above are all my family. Its the Unga/Netane connection. We went down to celebrate Nana's 21st (girl in middle all in white) We drove out there (Nane, Nana, Crystal, Tilisa & I), Lani (girl #2) flew down from Florida, a few other chicks drove down from SLC and Nana's BFF (Laki from Sac) was currently living in Vegas. The rest of the story is history!! Great Music, Great spots, great company, great drinks, crazy ladies + VEGAS = an unforgettable night!

Memory Song: OKAY- Nivea (das why i luv it so much)
