the sisters I chose...

When the sun shines, we'll shine together
Told you I'll be here forever
Said I'll always be a friend
Took an oath, I'ma stick it out till the end

Throughout the years, I've made friends here and there, hung out with different crowds, gained friends, lost friends, etc. But one thing is for sure, I still maintained my BFFs! These are girls Ive known the longest and still kept the closeness with. No matter what we go through in life, we know that we are there for one another. We dont talk everyday on the phone, it can be weeks before seeing each other but once we get back together, its like old times.

I knew Lome since we were babies. Not only were we in primary together but our families are related and from the same village in Tonga (you know how that goes) She lived down the road from my grandparents house and also next to the park so thats where we would spend most our childhood at. We were basically "stuck" together LOL middle onto high school, even "some" college and until now, we still see each other on a regular. Well of course, we're related. We would cruise in her dad's green Safari van as if it were the coolest car ever lol It didnt matter what kind of car, as long as it got us there. She worked at a restaurant in a hotel as a waitress and I used to come every Saturday morning, hungover, and eat for free, then I would help her make toast for customers or put dishes in racks.

Nuku is another one I've known since we were babies. Yes, we grew up in primary together as well LoL We both grew up in families where we had lots of older sisters plus our fathers were prominent in the church stake. We only went to middle school together but thru high school and college, our bond didnt change. She was THE BIGGEST Backstreet Boys fan EVER!! Her room was decked out from roof to floor. Life size posters, t-shirst, she even had a shrine of memorabilias. I always messed with her, going into her room and messing up her treasured items or hiding them. I remember when N'Sync's "No Strings Attached" album came out, we took her sister's BMW and cruised around San Mateo ALL DAY playing "Bye Bye Bye", and none of had liscense! lol

I think I met Tile when we were in 4th grade. Her older sister & my older sis were BFF's and eventually we met. But we didnt really hang out till we got to middle school. Btw- Bayside was the best middle school! LoL! it was FUNNN! We also went to the same high school too. She was the singer of the group. Has such a strong amazing voice. Tile always hosted parties at her house and they were always CRACKIN!! Everyone from town would be there. The DJ would play everything we loved, they were the best Backyard Boogies! I remember her 13th bday, we watched Menice II Society and eventually, it turned into the biggest food fight ever. In the end, there was 3 inches of food on the floor, cracked bowls, confetti stuck to the roof and her dad was returning home in an hour to come FaiKava. We cleaned that house spic & span so fast, walking around wrapped in bedsheets cause we had no clothes, u wouldve thought it was a toga party. I had the honor of being her Maid of Honor at her wedding.. she was the most beautiful bride ever and it was a lovely wedding. She sang a special dedication to her husband which was the best rendition of Whitney Houston's YOU GIVE GOOD LOVE!

Not a song from the past doesnt have a memory with these ladies. We used to sit at Coyote Point for hours talking and singing Alicia Keys, go workout at Holiday Inn gym which would turn into laying on the ground watching Laguna Beach, having a blast at Homecoming, neighborhood water fights, football games, riding our bikes all around town, shopping for Morp outfits. Tile, Nuku & I even worked for the same company for a couple yrs. Lome would get so irritated cause our conversations would just be about Evergreen! LOL! Relationships, pregnancies, marriages, heartache, family loss, milestones, I'm so grateful for my friendships and I couldnt have asked for a better group of ladies to have such a wonderful bond with.
